Here's what I'm seeing from what happened last night:
1. The American people have spoken. Although I do not believe
Conservatism is a minority mentality in America, what is exposed through
the evidence from yesterday's election is that Conservatives are not
well represented, and thus will not be able to well represent Americans
in its political endeavours. This needs to change if America is going to
become a powerful leader on the world stage again, instead of a
complicit follower.
2. Americans, as a whole, do not understand
the damage that has been done to our ability to sustain ourselves as a
Nation. We've forgotten what self reliance means, and have traded hard
work and dignity in for revenge politics a la Valarie Jarrett, David
Axelrod and President Obama. America, to our dismay, has shown that the
sensationalism of the dirty political game is what makes them happy.
3.
We, as a Nation, are in for a devaluation of the dollar as a world
currency. The world, as we know it, will begin to stop trading
commodities in our currency and we will begin to see a downward spiral
into banana republic status as we continue to try to print our way out
of the obligations Keynesian fiscal policies will create for our
progeny, and theirs. America will see its credit rating dropped from the
As and we will become the biggest Greece this world has ever known. The
rest of the world will be forced to cut us off for fear of our failure
taking us down with them.
4. Because the House remained in GOP
control and the Senate did not change control we will see a perpetual
Continuing Resolution built on a 2009 budget baseline that included over
$1T in spending that was intended to be temporary. Instead of what
President Obama promised in a reduction of our National Debt and
reduction of our Deficit Spending we will see at least $5T more added to
our debt with $1.3T/yr deficit spending per year until Obama leaves
office.
5. There will be continued attacks on the
non-governmental institutions that have helped define what it means to
be an American. The Constitution will see attack after attack as Justice
Ginsburg retires and two more lifetime appointments to the Supreme
Court are appointed by President Obama and Harry Reid. These
appointments will be divisive, have defined designs on their personal
interpretations of the Constitution and what it means in terms of how
the Government can control the individual and the individual entity. We
will see an increased fervor from those already in our Government for
Command and Control governance, where the regulatory state will
determine your outcome regardless of the legal ramifications of your
actions within your state of residency. If you wish to succeed it will
be at the behest of the Government, not because of your desire to do so.
6.
Iran will be emboldened by our inability to throw off the shackles of
tyranny which bind us to our fate. Ahmadinejad will see this election as
akin to what happened in 2009 in Tahrir Square through violence and
unproductive demonstration against a totalitarian regime, and recognize
our unfulfilled will to oust a dictatorial despot as further evidence
that we do not possess the means to prevent him from developing a
nuclear device. Iran will reach that goal or Israel will be forced to
stop them, and they will have to do so on their own. This will spark the
powder keg that is the Middle East into what could very well become the
catalyst to WW3. Under President Obama we will not be prepared to
protect ourselves or our allies, and we will not be prepared to feed and
power ourselves without the rest of the world's resources available for
our purchase because the Command and Control state will not allow for
continued domestic energy and agricultural development.
7.
Because the President and those in the Senate will see their continued
status in power as a mandate from the people for them to lead us to
their designs of what this Nation should be we will see massive
increases in taxes for the wealthy and what is known as the upper middle
class. Those who have means will leave this country for nations
friendlier to their wealth, and those who do not have means will suffer
at the hands of a Nation that does not value their productivity as much
as it values punishing it through wealth redistributive measures. Those
who are in the so-called middle class will find it harder to succeed,
and those who are poor will become poorer still. There will be a rash of
selling of stock and a retraction from the market by those who have
capital but are unwilling to spend it in anticipation of the increased
taxation that will come beginning in 2013 and continue with
the implementation of ObamaCare.
We're in for a very rough four
years, everyone. If you measure our Nation's success in terms of the
unemployment numbers and GDP, both are in store for a respective
downturn as those who produce begin to find new markets to move their
productive activities into. War will not become a thing of the past, and
we will see many more instances where Libya's failures will become the
norm.
We have been shown to be the moral minority. That doesn't
need to be our death knell, but at present it will be discouraging. Do
not despair. When confronted with the truths about Conservatism in the
face of the lies of Liberalism and outside of the echo chamber that is
the mainstream media, the American People invariably choose the former
over the latter. We have to find a way to cleanse the GOP of those less
than upstanding examples of who and what we stand for, and better
educate those who are willing to listen. Our message is clear, but the
minds of those receptive to it are not, and the hearts of those who
would co-opt our souls for avarice and power are all too common.
This
is not the end, everyone. It is a beginning. Fight Club and the Dogs of
War are not dead. Eventually Americans will realize what they've done
to themselves. Once they do we will be there to help guide them out of
the dark and into the light that is Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of
Happiness.
My two cents starts here.
I freely admit this, I am not very happy with what occurred last night. There have been many reports of improprieties around the country. I think the process was compromised in several locations. I will wait and see if there are proper investigations into such activity. I do have this little bit from a friend of mine in Madera County, California.
"In Madera County, voters were given TWO
ballots for POTUS. I know...I vote in Madera Co. THAT is how obama
won...double-voting." Pam McKinney.
"ABSOLUTE VOTER FRAUD. Across the board/across
the nation. Look toward the union thugs. Remember, the Election Depts
in YOUR county are run by government workers, the socialist democrats,
the union members. In Madera County where 89% of the population is
Mexican (and a LOT of them illegals), they were given TWO ballots. I
KNOW. Republican Congressmen had better form an investigative committee
and have every single democrat signature checked for legitimacy and then
count the signatures against ballots. There WILL be more ballots than
signatures." Pam McKinney.
Remember, this is a state that actively supports and coddles illegal aliens over and above the citizens. The Democrats, as they are called, are directly responsible for this. Governor Brown needs to be held accountable as well along with our Attorney General. That individual, Kamala Harris is a Card Carrying Member of the American Communist Party. Nuff said there.
After the shameful manner in which the voting was handled in many locals along with the blind faith of those who voted for a second term for the Current Occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, I will no longer give any respect to Barack Obama. To me he is a pretender, usurper and a charlatan.
I am now considering liquidation of assets and heading to Belize.
The unintended consequences are already happening as reflected in the Dow dropping 300 points immediately upon opening of the stock exchange.
The United States of America is no longer the Republic which I served for the best twenty years of my life. It is now a third world septic tank. We allowed UN representatives from other countries to "monitor" our electoral process. Our currency is not what it was at all. Our "leaders" act as if they could care less. I include a number of GOP Senators in this as well.
All of those who voted and enabled the outcome of last night are going to be surprised when things start to fall in on them as a result of their lack of proper judgement.
As for California, the liberals who make up the majority in this once vibrant and productive state have decided, among other things, that a tax hike is in order. Prop 30 was passed along with other dubious measures.
California Ballot Measure Results at this link
Diane Feinstein 'won' her fourth term in the Senate.Term limits seem like a good idea to me.
I guess I am done for now.

F-35 Lightning II News
U.S. Navy and U.K. Royal Navy F-35 unable to get aboard ship.
We have the F-16C and D blocks 52 and 60 in production but those are for other countries. We are not buying any Fighting Falcons for the US Air Force.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18E & F are in full rate production for the Navy and soon the Marine Corps and will fit the bill nicely in the multi role capacity. It is constantly being improved to be more competitive in the world market.......But perhaps we should think about it for our Forces. The F-16s in service have been through multiple overhauls and some almost complete rebuilds. It was initially designed as a light weight fighter for air to air only and it was to be, essentially, a throw away airplane.
Gonna be interesting to say the least.

Sunday Morning Sermon
This was up at the Jawa Report this morning. It has been posted before but it seems appropriate. I read most of that series of books mentioned.
Copied in it's entirety.
We do not fight for land. We are loyal to an ideal - an ideal of liberty wherever man lives. We do not guard territory, bleed for a piece of dirt. We don't fight because we love violence. We fight for our freedom as individuals to live our own lives, to pursue our own survival, our own happiness.
Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self defense, because you think it's a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.
Evil grants no mercy, and to attempt to appease it is nothing more than a piecemeal surrender to it. Surrender to evil is slavery at best, death at worst. Thus your unconditional rejection of violence is really nothing more than embracing death as preferable to life.
You will achieve what you embrace.
The right, the absolute necessity, of vengeance against anyone who initiates force against you is fundamental to survival. The morality of a people's self-defense is in it's defense of each individual's right to life. It's an intolerance to violence made real by an unwavering willingness to crush any who would launch violence against you. The unconditional determination to destroy any who would initiate force against you is an exaltation of the value of life. Refusing to surrender your life to any thug or tyrant who lays claim to it is in fact embracing life itself.
If you are unwilling to defend your right to your own lives, then you are merely like mice trying to argue with owls. You think their ways are wrong. They think you are dinner.
If, hoping to appease it, you willingly compromise with unrepentant evil, you only allow such evil to sink it's fangs into you; from that day on its venom will course through your veins until it finally kills you.
Compromising with murderers grants them moral equivalence where none can rightly exist. Moral equivalence says that you are no better than they; therefore their belief - that they should be able to torture, rape, or murder you - is just as morally valid as your view - that you have the right to live free of their violence. Moral compromise rejects the concept of right and wrong. It says that everyone is equal, all desires are equally valid, all action is equally valid, so everyone should compromise to get along.
Where could you compromise with those who torture, rape and murder people? In the number of days a week you will be tortured? In the number of men to be allowed to rape your loved ones? In how many of your family are to be murdered?
No moral equivalence exists in that situation, nor can it exist, so there can be no compromise, only suicide.
To even suggest compromise can exist with such men is to sanction murder.
Many teach that saying someone is evil is prejudiced thinking. It's a way of belittling someone already in pain for some reason. Such people must be embraced and taught to shed their fears of their fellow man and then they will not strike out in violent ways.
They are dangerous to everyone because they embrace evil with their teachings. In so doing, in trying to be kind, to be unselfish, in trying to be nonjudgmental, you allow evil to become far more powerful than it otherwise would. you refuse to see evil, and so you welcome it among you. You allow it to exist. You give it power over you. You are a people who have welcomed death and refused to denounce it.
You are an empire naked to the shadow of evil.

THE FLAG IS GONE
From Stormbringer. This one is a must read. And the judgement should be as mine is. Traitor. No other description is needed. Not a single one.
..............This is part of the 'change' we were promised. But nobody will question him in fear of being called a racist. What an embarrassment.
For a long time, we have noticed that the decor at the White House has changed since BHO moved in.
The Oval Office is now stripped of the traditional red, white, and blue, and replaced with middle eastern wallpaper, drapes, and decor............

16 Reasons Why The United States Can No Longer Afford To Be The Police Of The World
This was up at The American Dream
Makes one go hmmmmm.
Interesting read. It has very valid points and he has numbers that seem to back it up.
This article is by the owner/author of the site, not me.
Paragraph one:.......Did you know that the United States military is now bombing 6 different countries? U.S. aircraft are conducting air strikes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Yemen and now Somalia. There is a U.S. military base in over half of the countries on the planet and U.S. military spending is over 7 times larger than the military spending of any other nation on earth. Yes, the United States will always need a strong military. But with our national debt exploding at an exponential rate, can the United States really afford to continue to be the police of the world?

From Captain Teach at The Pirate's Cove
Politico: “Sarah Palin Goes Behind Enemy Lines”
Sorry for the large type at the link but it is what it is.
Captain Teach has a real good one up here today.
The one excerpt is quite interesting and a bit on the funny side.
...........One northeastern GOPer, Connecticut Republican Party Chairman Chris Healy, said he welcomes Palin to the neighborhood because of the effect she has on Democrats.
“She annoys the left to the point of apoplexy, and I love it,” he said. “My liberal friends, when I say her name at a barbecue, they completely come off the rails.”..................
So hit the link at the top and have a read. Worth the time.

Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion: Kagan Should Recuse Herself As To Obamacare
Professor Jacobson has some good points here....and not all are pointing to the overturning of obamacare.
But there is still hope...
And this "woman" should have never been confirmed much less nominated........no judicial bench experience at all. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
At least Sotomayor had some......not much but some. Kagan is agenda driven.......for what ever reasons she has.......maybe as part of her growing up process?Who knows.....Most of the nominees for anything that oblunder comes up with all have skeletons in their collective closets......The variance being how many and at what level of severity those skeletons are.

The Antelope Valley Memorial Wall
This is one for this part of California. It does travel though.
I had a meritorious early today..........airplane wash. So I went to Lancaster HS where it is open through tomorrow.
I know two of the names on it. Darryl Juel and Reid Grayson, Jr. from Scobey, Montana. I was in the seventh grade there in 66-67 and played basketball with their younger brothers. Two from a little bitty(1,000) town in NE Montana. My Mom and Darryl Juel's Mom taught school together in the elementary school..
Still brings a tear............after all these years.
No captions are really necessary. But the thing I noticed was the deference and respect, even by the youngsters from the Student Body at LHS who were assisting. I had a young lady who was about a year older than my step grand daughter. I guess I am now one of the old men.
And yes, it still brings tears...........It probably will, always.
Buck, MUD and others who have been..............understand.

A letter to a uber-liberal friend
My friend Mary Bredlau has this up on facebook.
It is an excellent read. Really.
I don't hate Obama .. I just want to be rid of him and his ilk.
Why am I not allowed to disagree and then be called names if I do.
You always include me in "you and your ilk" ..
I truly don't think you even realize what my beliefs are ..
There was no way for "us" to block anything, the Democrats had a super-majority, and have had since 2007 until the last landslide election ..the left loves to use the "threatened filibuster" line .. that never happened and since when did the Democrats shrink from a "threat". The wrong folk are being blamed ..
The Democrats had every chance to pass a budget but didn't.
The Republicans have lost their backbone and compromise entirely too much .. they are still on the "politically correct" train as far as I'm concerned.
If something isn't done about the excessive spending, all entitlements will be lost.
Please don't take for granted that we will always be as we were ..
Your slam on the billionaires: you do know that Soros manages his own hedge fund (taxed @ cap gains rates 15% and not an income tax bracket) and lives abroad .. yes? You hold him to a different standard, clearly. BTW, I don't hate him either, he's a brilliant investor and knows the ins and outs .. I disagree vehemently with his political views. He is a direct beneficiary of the recent Petrobras and Brazil oil deal granted by Obama.
Why do you not find that offensive?
I venture to guess you would if it were a Koch investment.
The main reason I find it offensive is because our USA oil companies are not getting the same treatment .. and I doubt we, as a nation, will get any kind of break on cost. But, Brazil is one of our South American allies ..
As for Libya .. I disagree with the way it was handled .. but, since we are there, win it and get out .. same problem I have with the other two, war cannot be won being politically correct, unfortunately ..
You have never taken the time to get to know me and what I really believe.

Shutdown
Seems as though the government will be shutting down. Dirty Harry Reid isn't getting his way as is the sand ****** in the white house. Harry will pontificate on the crybaby news magazine/talking head shows on sunday. Teh oblunder simply went on vacation. Sort of like the Mysterious Indonesian-Kenyan to do just that. Things get tough and he hauls ass out of town. What a fucking no good, lying, treasonous sack of shit. I called him the other name more or less used in reference to those residents of a certain part of the world mostly covered by sand.
So. Sue me. Especially all of you maggots that voted for him.
Never forget this, barack obama and every demcom in the congress are all traitors. To their very core and fiber of their being, they are traitors.
Oh yes, I did drop a package on one railroad services company today and am faxing to another tomorrow.
I am too fucking old to have to deal with the shit going on in washington.

Obama Admin wants to TAX AMERICANS BY THE MILE!
The shitbird and his interior and transportation lackeys are at it again. I don't know about the rest of you but this shit by the administration and cabinet has got to stop. I am all in favor of a general strike in DC. Shut the place down completely. Block access to the airports, train stations and the roads. Not hard at all. Then put a ring around the capitol building. Use tractors, combines, construction trucks and the like. Then take the valve cores from all the tires on all the limos. Flatten the tires then they are stuck. This needs to be done to all members of congress, Republican and Democrat both. This is a direct threat to the very security and sovereignty of The Republic.
Email, call and snail mail your congresscritters in both houses. McCarthy and the two "ladies" I have are about to get an earful. Rhetorically speaking, of course.

What leadership doesn't look like
From Betsy's Page. A snippet follows then the link to her full post on the subject.
I would say the dear lady has the cinc by the stacking swivel with a pair of vise grips!
This is not what leadership looks like. This is what political opportunism looks like. WSJ explains the cynicism in Obama's budget proposal.

A lot of smoke and mirrors. The smoke is being blown up your ass and mine. And I don't like it one bit.

This is not what leadership looks like. This is what political opportunism looks like. WSJ explains the cynicism in Obama's budget proposal.
How unserious is this budget? Although the White House trumpets $2.18 trillion in deficit reduction over the next decade, those savings are so far off in the magical "out years" that you can barely see them from here. More than 95% of the savings would happen after Mr. Obama's first term in the White House is over, and almost two-thirds of the promised deficit reduction would arrive after 2016. Pretending to cut deficits by pushing all real cuts into the future is Budget Flimflam 101.Ah yes, change no one can believe in - simply keeping on doing the same thing, only more of it.
From hard experience, we know that what matters are the cuts and reforms a White House is willing to make now. The Obama budget doesn't cut a penny from the deficit in the last seven months of fiscal 2011. Over the next three years—through 2013—the spending reductions in this budget add up to a paltry $20 billion net, out of a projected $3.5 trillion deficit. That's a 0.57% reduction in red ink and less than what the feds spend every two days.
As for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and other entitlements, which account for roughly 60% of federal expenditures, the proposed savings are close to zero. The President would allow these programs to continue on automatic pilot, meaning they nearly double to $2.7 trillion in 2021 from $1.4 trillion in 2010.
Every serious analyst agrees that the time to fix these retirement programs is before 75 million graying baby boomers start collecting the benefits and voting as beneficiaries rather than as net payers. Meanwhile, Medicaid spending would grow by 115% over the next decade thanks to that renowned deficit reducer, ObamaCare.
The proudest White House boast is that its budget would cap domestic discretionary spending at current levels for five years. These are programs ranging from NASA to the Washington Metro to school lunch programs to wind turbine grants, which overall and including stimulus expanded by more than 80% in Mr. Obama's first two years. This spending freeze would cut these programs from 2011-2013 by a grand total of $14 billion.

Anniversaries of note
Thirty years ago, Ronald Reagan was inaugurated.
I was in the Indian Ocean aboard USS Ranger. We were in theater due to the Jimmy the Dhimmi induced hostage crisis in Iran.
Fifty years ago, John Kennedy was inaugurated. I was in the first grade. A mere child of six.
I was brought up to be a good democrat. With a family full of schoolteachers, what else would happen? And I was. Then came the Naval Career and changes. Those changes started with Jimmy Carter.
I still remember the assassination of JFK. I was nine, in the fourth grade. To young to remember a lot. I do remember the teachers on my mom's side in abject grief. Then later on being indoctrinated as to Kennedy's impending Sainthood.
Then came the years with Jimmy. After the bad times of the Nixon resignation and Gerald Ford. At least Jerry Ford tried to do right. But Jimmy turned out to be such an incompetent individual that the forces suffered. After that I never voted for a Democrat for president, again. Couldn't do it. And understand Carter beat out senator Gary Hart of Colorado and...........drum roll...........Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown of California. All Brown had was Linda Ronstadt as his trophy friend. Hart had extra marital affair issues also. At least Carter did't cheat on Roslyn. The only good quality the man had.
So having been reared in the Church of Kennedy Infallibility, I guess I became a heretic.
Ronnie Reagan loved us as I found out. It was there for all to see.
Most of my old shipmates and I are in agreement that we love him in return. He did things for us.
On the whole I have to go with Reagan as the Best President I ever served.

Examiner Editorial: Closing the books on the worst Congress | Washington Examiner
This says it better than I ever could these days.
I tend to get a bit spun up about the legislative body in DC lately. Living in California and having the likes of Babbling Babs and Lyin' Diane as my senators......well............yeah.

Ebay vs. Moonbeam
Seems that old AG moonbeam is ahead of Meg Whitman in the CA governors race. The media out here is touting the Social Security letter to Meg about the housekeeper. It noted a discrepancy. That is all. And it also indicated that if the employee was summarily terminated, the employer could face charges of discrimination.
Meg did not fire the woman until she, the housekeeper, admitted to being in this country illegally. That is complying with the law.
Then the mouthpiece lawyer of the left, one gloria allred gets into the mix. This puts the housekeeper directly in view of the entire Immigration mechanism. And there is a distinct possibility that governor/attorney general moonbeam had a hand in this. I said a possibility. Conjecture now enters the mix. For myself, I don't think jerry brown has an honest bone in his body.
As for me, I figure the only major thing jerry brown has ever done is have Linda Ronstadt as his trophy girlfriend in 1976 when he finished third behind jimmy carter and gary hart? for the democratic nomination for president. Yeah, I do remember. Very Well.
On a side note. I haven't seen any recent data on Carly vs. Babs. We all know that Babs has to go.
But it appears that in most cases in the midterms, we have a choice. That being the lesser of two evils. Food for thought.
