This is where I will take sides with the Army. Seems the Air Force in it's elevated view of itself as the provider of all transport has seriously dicked the dog on this one. The Army has different requirements than the Air Force. But the Fast Mover, Fighter Mafia run Junior Service has lost sight of a lot of things. I work for the Air Force at Edwards AFB so I do see some of the lack of practical application of anything here.
It seems to me if you are tasked with certain things as a result of demanding the Army have no practical fixed wing assets then man up Blue Suiters. No offense but you need to loose being overly impressed with yourselves and get to it.
My indicator is handing a Air Police Member a Blue Retired ID with PO1(E6) on it and being addressed as sir. My Retired Air Force coworkers are addressed as Staff Sergeant, Tech Sergeant, Master Sergeant Etc................................................

I have yet to see any active personnel here at Edwards in the Casual Uniform. Even if I were in the AF, I would avoid wearing this one. Like it says in the post, Blockbuster!

At one point in the eighties, the idea of Aviation Enlisted Personnel going to a three tone gray camo uniform was discussed. Tradition still won out back then.

This needs to be done to all members of congress, Republican and Democrat both. This is a direct threat to the very security and sovereignty of The Republic.
Email, call and snail mail your congresscritters in both houses. McCarthy and the two "ladies" I have are about to get an earful. Rhetorically speaking, of course.

Note on the F-35C

I found out that the F-35C, the carrier version of the Joint Strike Fighter is not equipped with an INTEGRAL boarding ladder. And this aircraft is going to sea. Aboard ship, where space is at a premium. Not an intelligent move.
I have a friend who is with Lockheed Martin, the prime airframe contractor. He informed me that both the OSHA and NAVOSH were directly involved in this part of the design. These two agencies determined that there was a requirement for a ladder that allowed for both hands to be on the sides. Sort of like the boarding ladders on most Air Force tactical aircraft. Exception being the A-10.
Boarding ladders like we use on the F-16 are cumbersome, ungainly and at times a hazard themselves. Guess what gave me a hernia in September?
I understand that the AF operates from large land facilities and has the logistical assets to allow excessive support equipment. That is how they operate. Kind of complicated at times.
In Naval Air, simplicity was a key element of the process. Seems now that concept has been tossed into the shitcan.
See, I do let my service have it when I determine that a dressing down is necessary.
Because stupid has no boundaries and does not play favourites.
Somewhere is a Naval Aviator Flag Officer in serious need of being canned.

Does no one have anything to say about this. I sure as hell do. It illustrates a basic ignorance of one's surroundings and being out of touch with reality.
I guess the "hope and change" mantra of "The Won/One" trumps all reasonable and logical thought. What say you out there. I call him a communist. With the role models he has used and admitted to, well, obviously the base is suffering from cranial rectumitis.
And it boils down to a basic premise.......63 million or so of my own countrymen really screwed the pooch on this one. And the recovery could outlast my lifetime and into the old age of my kids.
