Milwaukee Railroad Shops is on track for the upcoming year-Sioux City Journal
"The 12-foot long, 1,200-pound vintage diesel locomotive will pull three passenger cars, totaling 36 passengers, on a 1 1/2-mile loop around the facility, according to Matt Merk, executive director. One of the passenger cars will be handicap accessible."
I remember the Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension as a kid. The Milwaukee and the Northern Pacific ran side by side from Garrison Junction to Missoula. The Electric Hiawathas were used.
I had the pleasure to dump ballast on a remnant of the Milwaukee Road in Southeast Montana, Southwest North Dakota and Northwest South Dakota. I love that country!
