My friend Mary Bredlau has this up on facebook.
It is an excellent read. Really.
I don't hate Obama .. I just want to be rid of him and his ilk.
Why am I not allowed to disagree and then be called names if I do.
You always include me in "you and your ilk" ..
I truly don't think you even realize what my beliefs are ..
There was no way for "us" to block anything, the Democrats had a super-majority, and have had since 2007 until the last landslide election ..the left loves to use the "threatened filibuster" line .. that never happened and since when did the Democrats shrink from a "threat". The wrong folk are being blamed ..
The Democrats had every chance to pass a budget but didn't.
The Republicans have lost their backbone and compromise entirely too much .. they are still on the "politically correct" train as far as I'm concerned.
If something isn't done about the excessive spending, all entitlements will be lost.
Please don't take for granted that we will always be as we were ..
Your slam on the billionaires: you do know that Soros manages his own hedge fund (taxed @ cap gains rates 15% and not an income tax bracket) and lives abroad .. yes? You hold him to a different standard, clearly. BTW, I don't hate him either, he's a brilliant investor and knows the ins and outs .. I disagree vehemently with his political views. He is a direct beneficiary of the recent Petrobras and Brazil oil deal granted by Obama.
Why do you not find that offensive?
I venture to guess you would if it were a Koch investment.
The main reason I find it offensive is because our USA oil companies are not getting the same treatment .. and I doubt we, as a nation, will get any kind of break on cost. But, Brazil is one of our South American allies ..
As for Libya .. I disagree with the way it was handled .. but, since we are there, win it and get out .. same problem I have with the other two, war cannot be won being politically correct, unfortunately ..
You have never taken the time to get to know me and what I really believe.

Mother, Mother Ocean
Mother, Mother Ocean, I've heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
You've seen it all, you've seen it all
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
You've seen it all, you've seen it all
Watched the men who rode you, switch from sails to steam
In your belly you hold the treasures, few have ever seen
Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream
In your belly you hold the treasures, few have ever seen
Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream
Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred year's too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

Counted the Stars
Counted the stars on the 4th of July
Wishing we were rockets bursting in the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
We used to be so happy once upon a time
Once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
And the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
Wishing we were rockets bursting in the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
We used to be so happy once upon a time
Once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
And the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
