VMFA-333 Wanna meet some really crazy guys?

This outfit has a rather checkered history. As in lock the doors and windows when they come to town.
About 36 years ago we did a Fleet Carrier Qualification on Independence. Trip Trey was there with there Phantoms.
Shamrocks as the aircraft were marked as part of the Air Wing on America in 1972

Today's version with Hornets
This squadron when still flying Phantoms on a deployment to Cubi Point, RP got kicked of the Station and then had to go to Naha, Okinawa.

I guess my dad was right...he said VMFA-333 were a bunch of animals and always had a good time. From the stories my dad told me, I couldn't believe it. I'm curious if you have any other stories you like to share about Trip Trey?
