Sunday update and random stuff

Working on a post about my last deployment on The Good Ship Kitty Hawk. I have sent it to a few folks I know that are excellent at the written word, far better than I. I asked them to read it and make any comments and recommendations. When I get it polished it will be here in it's entirety.

Desert=Hot. We hit 111 here in The SE Kern County Desert yesterday and are at 102 today.  Cooling tomorrow, only 91. Then back to the century mark on Tuesday. I like being on swings. At least when the sun goes down the wind picks up and makes life on the line tolerable.

The Kings lost the Western Final in five games to Chicago. They still had a good year as short as it was. I like the way they are using their farm system lately. Detroit is still the best at it, though.

As I said over at The Home for Us All... there's an extended version of "gripes" floating around somewhere on these inter-tubes.

The Kings put up a pretty good fight. That said I'm still not over Dee-troit losing Game Seven in OT to the Hated 'Hawks. It was THAT close...
