Happy Hour

"IF A LIFETIME CAN BE LIKENED TO A DAY, THEN THIS IS HAPPY HOUR!"
BUCK PENNINGTON

Mother, Mother Ocean

Mother, Mother Ocean, I've heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
You've seen it all, you've seen it all
Watched the men who rode you, switch from sails to steam
In your belly you hold the treasures, few have ever seen
Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream
Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred year's too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

Yoda

"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is."
―Yoda, to Luke Skywalker

Counted the Stars

Counted the stars on the 4th of July
Wishing we were rockets bursting in the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
We used to be so happy once upon a time
Once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
And the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line

Dear Jerry Brown

Go fuck yourself.
You have no ideas, no abilities other than being an outright liar.
To all of you who voted for this lying piece of shit, the same. I hold all of you as not worthy to shine my shoes. Didn't the first go around with this maggot teach you anything?
And the Global Warming thing. What is wrong with you worthless shit stains.
Where was I? Oh yeah. Fuck you Jerry Brown.
And the Lt Gov will be Gavin, I am a married Fairy, Newsom. Looking for a job in Nevada or Arizona. Preferably Arizona, Open Carry, Sovereignty, things like that. No maggots.
And for All who read this. No apologies for the language. A life in the Sea Service hardens one.

Sorry to hear that, Glenn. Hey, NV has open carry! It's just that AZ doesn't require a permit for concealed carry anymore ;-)

It's time to leave CA. I don't see it getting any better. Some folks think the state will be under some form of martial law within the decade.

My probation period at Edwards is finally up on the ninth, next Tuesday! And then the idiots here go and hose the rest of us over with Moonbeam and Gavin "I love fairies" Newsom in Sacramento.
After next Tuesday, I can apply for internal vacancies throughout the Air Force. Nellis, Luke and Hill AFBs are my candidates.

Good on ya. I can foresee nothing good happening to California while the lefties remain.

Perhaps the new Lexington and Concord will be Sacramento and Berkley?

Doubt it. You have to have some willing to resist. I don't think there are enough in California to make a bowling team.

ORPO,
Congrats on making the big-time with 666. Nice looking bird. Miss the Lawn Dart myself.
Won't be out our direction anytime soon, moved to a new Agency, and don't go to China Lake. LA AFS, maybe. Will miss the beer that we discussed a long time ago. (used to crew chief 550, 0064, 866, and some others in the late '80s)
Good luck on the recovery from surgery! Be very careful on the lifting.
Finally: Luke AFB in AZ is nice, and far outside of Phoenix. Davis-Monthan is better, I used to be stationed there, and met my wife at the "small company that makes disposable products" (hint, used to make RadarRanges). Nellis is great, and property values are very good nowadays. If you have your clearance, there's Dreamland... Hill AFB is nice, but not as many aircraft, IIRC. Canon AFB, in NM, is going to be getting some bigger aircraft shortly, a little bird told me. So, you do have options. I don't miss Cali, and sounds like you won't either...

I will not go down and tell my children I didn't have the courage, the conviction, the commitment or the character to fight for this country...Don't go home and let your children down~~ LTC Allen West
