The Missus had an appointment in Tustin to adjust the lap band yesterday. As always we make a day of it. The feed store in Acton on the 14 in the mountains has the sunflower seed mix for the ruff neck parrot and the seed mix for the finches. We stop on the way down.
Traffic wasn't too bad going through the SF Valley and then near East LA to Tustin. Did the adjust and we stopped at a shopping plaza near Angels Stadium and Honda Center. Think the Ducks are on the program for next year as the rink is easy to get to.
Then we headed to the outlet mall at Barstow. Got some new steel toe hikers at the Skecher's store for a pretty good price and some nifty flip flops as well. The Missus picked up a new pair of walking-running shoes and some really spiffy flip flops for herself. Buy one get the second for half off the price. Did OK.
The WX down below was not near as warm as here in the desert. In fact for a bit, it was ugly!
I haven't been in that part o' the world for quite some time now but The Ol' Man lived in Tustin for a while, back in the mid-60s. I suspect it's changed a bit since then. ;-)
ReplyDeletePart of the Orange County Sprawl. At leas it isn't LA!
ReplyDeleteMCAS El Toro is closed as well as MCAS(H) Tustin. I do know how to get to Honda Center and Angels Stadium! Much easier than Staples Center in LA.
