    ONE of the most beautiful airplanes ever built. I'm partial to the Mustang, myself.

    That said, we had a Spit as a Gate Guard at RAF Uxbridge. I spent many an hour walking around and under that aircraft. Sadly, all my pictures of it have vanished into the ether.
