A friend of mine asked me to address this subject. It seems some unknowing individual has written a 77 page book on why we as a Republic are so evil when our Forces have to engage in combat. Andreas is his last name. The book has been endorsed by Chomsky, Sarandon, Sheehan and the like. Really knowledgeable in the field of international affairs and the art of war.
Most of them couldn't find their backsides with both hands and a flashlight. What most have not realized is that the United States of America is the Good Guy. We do more for the rest of the world in a single day than the UN has done since it was formed.
Susan Sarandon for instance. Does she do anything herself. Well besides whine and complain about the past administration and now the current one not doing "enough." Question for ya Susan, is your definition of enough the only one?
Got no use for most of those self righteous, arrogant, elitist communists. That is what most of them are, communists. Maybe old Tail Gunner Joe McCarthy had a point, after all. Just maybe......
Mind you I was a toddler when that happened. So everything I know about that is from the historic records and archival material.
The chomskys, sarandons and sheehans in this Nation seem to have lost any touch with most of the citizens of The Republic.
I for one, take exception to the very title of the book. Having served in the Armed Forces for twenty years, I find that folks such as these are not well schooled in reality. They live in a dream world of sorts. And in some respect, I truly feel sorry for them. Not the kind of folks a man would like to see his children and grandchildren consider as role models.
I haven't read it and I will not. I consider it to be, for lack of a better term, subversive.
Chomsky - enough said.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind word and the link. I'll be stopping by often to see what you're up to.

ReplyDeleteYou need say no more. I REALLY don't understand why these asshats just don't buy their one-way tickets to Havana or somewhere like it and get the Hell outta Dodge. We'd ALL be happier now, wouldn't we?
The words of others are sufficient here, I think.
ReplyDeleteGeneral MacArthur: The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.
Charlie Daniels: When people have only viewed the world from the top of an ivory tower, they don't react very well when it's time to get their hands dirty.
