Anniversary at Pismo Beach
I finally have time to load pictures of our day at Pismo Beach. We like the Central Coast. It is more scenic and less crowded than the So Cal Beaches. No Metropolitan areas to deal with.
Good eating establishments are there as well. Motel 6 was a fairly good deal for being out there on the coast.

Pismo is just up the road a bit from Vandenberg AFB and I spent MANY a happy hour there, back in the day. I suppose it's changed a lot over the last 40+ years or so but it remains a place that's high in my memory.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a better place to celebrate your anniversary.
If we go for a long weekend we stay at the Vandenberg Inn. $56.00 a night is better than the motels in the area.

I'd never done more than drive past the Central Coast until seven years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe closest I had been were overnighters in San Luis Obispo.
Things like that happen when you live too close.
Today, particularly living in the valley, I have a much greater appreciation for the delights of the Central Coast and of the North Coast.
