ND farmer finds oil spill while harvesting wheat

Found this on Yahoo this evening. It is an amazing world we live in these days.
http://news.yahoo.com/nd-farmer-finds-oil-spill-while-harvesting-wheat-050659313.html

A North Dakota farmer who discovered an oil spill the size of seven football fields while out harvesting wheat says that when he found it, crude was bubbling up out of the ground.
Farmer Steve Jensen says he smelled the crude for days before the tires on his combines were coated in it. At the apparent break in the Tesoro Corp.'s underground pipeline, the oil was "spewing and bubbling 6 inches high," he said in a telephone interview Thursday.
In this Oct. 8, 2013 photo provided by the North Dakota Health Department, a vacuum trucks cleans up oil in near Tioga, N.D. The North Dakota Health Department says more than 20,000 barrels of crude oil have spewed out of a Tesoro Corp. oil pipeline in a wheat field in northwestern North Dakota. Officials say the 20,600-barrel spill, among the largest recorded in the state, was discovered on Sept. 29 by a farmer harvesting wheat about nine miles south of Tioga. The repair process has begun in the photo above.

Rant-Shutdown Could Halt VA Checks by November-Shinseki

Got no use for this individual, what so ever. Our Eldest Son, SFC, US Army Reserve was in the Regular Army when Shinseki was the Chief of Staff..................

We paid a visit to Fort Drum in the Summer of 2001 to pay a visit. The feeling I got from the grunt mechanics in the Vehicle Maintenance Battalion was more of the kind we in the Sea Service hold for Elmo Zumwalt and many of my Air Force Brethren here at Edwards have for McPeak............................That bad it was.
The part that really sucks is that after coming out of the 88 hour furlough, my disability was raised to 60 percent. That was helping make up for a few items that were put aside......................................

I am still around---------------Morning Bike Ride

The Missus and I took a few days and wandered off to Oceanside to visit the Sister in Law and Brother in Law. I was going to the MCAS Miramar Air Show on Saturday the 5th........................................it got cancelled...............................
The pic is from this morning after my ride......................Low 50's with winds at times gusting to 35 mph................Only did six miles but I rode into the wind for three of it and came back to the house with the wind. It was a good ride even for just six miles....................BP after the shower and prepping lunch for work tonight was 123/70. I did see my doc for a follow up yesterday on the new BP med. He says I am doing fine.

Looking like a bit of a scalawag..................................................................................
