After my stint as a Coastie I lived in near Alexandria, La. not too far from the now defunct England AFB. It was a ground support base and trained with the grunts at nearby FT. Polk. I used to watch the A10 making runs on the Claiborne Range while I was fishing on the numerous lakes in the area.
