The LA Kings defeat Vancouver

Go Kings!
Jarrett Stoll in OT to give the Los Angeles Kings a 4 games to 1 win in the Western Conference Quarter-Final this evening. Notable as the Kings were the 8 seed and the Canucks were the 1 seed in the West and the President's Trophy Winner for the best record in the regular season. The Kings won all three games in Rogers Arena in Vancouver..........I can hear Don Cherry now!!!!!!!!!!!

Up next are the Saint Louis Blues. This is a classic Second Six Match up as both teams entered the league in the first expansion in 1967.

The Blues eliminated the San Jose Sharks in five games in that series. I am looking forward to this match up. Should be a great series and I like the Kings chances. But I am biased in that ya know.

  1. The goaltending duel in the Kings-Blues series will be a LOT more intense than the Vancouver series and the Blues defense is a LOT stronger than the Canucks'. El-Eh will have their work cut out for them, to be sure. I've been watching the Blues all year... much more than I've watched the Kings... and I think they're the Real Deal. My money's on the Blues but you're right: it WILL be interesting.
