Eighteen Years Ago, Today with some good news!

Official date of Transfer to the Fleet Reserve.
Retired from active service on this date in 1993. Has it been that long? I guess so.
My kids were in school from junior high to sophomore in high school. Now there are five grandchildren.
That also means that on the 29th of September, yesterday, was the thirty eighth anniversary of my enlistment in The United States Navy.

And on a more current note..............
My Doc called with the results of Monday's CT scan...............
Clear. Nothing showing other than what is supposed to be there.........
Yay!!!!!

  1. Congratulations on ALL counts, Glenn, but especially on the scan.

It's kinda funny, but I never let the anniversary of my enlistment pass unnoticed. There are some days that you remember forever, those days where everything changed. They aren't many for most people, but that day is one for me.

  2. It is that one day that ultimately defined us for the rest of our lives.
Most of the people I graduated from HS with cannot understand that. Some from simple lack of understanding, some from refusal to understand, some from out and out disdain.
And thanks Buddy. The annual scan can be stressful, considering what I went through in such a short period two years ago.
