Blast from the past

Since we are celebrating the Centennial of Naval Aviation, I will, from time to time put up pictures relevant to my career in that most illustrious Air Arm.
Starting with a shot of a hangar that was my workplace for a 22 month period.

This was the home of The Tigers of VT-26.

For a while after the shut down of NAS Chase Field it was used to manufacture modular buildings. I saw that on CNN shortly after I retired.
This was the first Naval Aviator training station closed as a result of Graham-Rudman-Hollings. That was the first act that commenced the butchering of our forces.
My Daughter, Rachael, was conceived in Beeville. It was good times for the first Mrs. ORPO and I.
I will always have a place in my heart for Chase Field and Beeville.
