Nowhere or somewhere really close

Different views of Rogers Dry Lake. This is the lake bed that is/was the divert for the Space Shuttles. From the hill to the west along Lancaster Boulevard.
In case anyone was wondering where the middle of nowhere is, it's here!

  1. Ummm... I've been there. Quite a few times. That's some PRIME dirt-bike riding real estate.

  2. Thinking about one of those Urals from Russia. A side car, two wheel drive for the Missus. Could work.
    And a jerry can!

  3. When I met the wife her address was 2 miles south and 2 miles east of the Yermo, CA Union depot. The insertion point of the would enema was about 1/2 mile east of there at the Yermo Dump. MUD

  4. re: The Ural. Heh. Don't forget the ol' leather helmet, goggles, and a white silk scarf. For BOTH of you. ;-)

Apropos of nothing... there were a LOT of Urals running around in Ol' Blighty when I was stationed there. I told the wife we'd look really good on/in one. She disagreed, the kill-joy.
