From the past, Darkly? Again?

A long time ago, in a place not so far away.
The day I got my Air Warfare Wings with some of my squadron mates and the CO.  That is the gentleman with the shoulder boards and aviator wings. Jim Oliver. Righteous guy, one each.
Behind yours truly is Tim Lobretto, AMS2, outstanding airframes guy, period. Next to him, right as viewed, is AQC Ed Zwick, Flight Deck Coordinator Extraordinaire. We were Argonauts of Attack Squadron One Four Seven. Things changed in 1989 with the arrival of the F/A-18 hornette. No longer the same.

  2. These were found in them tubs you buy at Walmart and some Tupperware containers. I have one, somewhere, of the Intermediate Hydraulic/Pneumatic Shop on The Good Ship Ranger when we got the Naval Air Forces Black "E". I was a newly minted AMH1 at the age of 27. Work Center Supervisor. No Second Class POs. Three Third Class POs. The rest were non rates. We passed our major inspections and audits for the pending deployment with no discrepancies noted.
