Happy Hour

"IF A LIFETIME CAN BE LIKENED TO A DAY, THEN THIS IS HAPPY HOUR!"
BUCK PENNINGTON

Mother, Mother Ocean

Mother, Mother Ocean, I've heard you call
Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall
You've seen it all, you've seen it all
Watched the men who rode you, switch from sails to steam
In your belly you hold the treasures, few have ever seen
Most of 'em dream, most of 'em dream
Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred year's too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late

Yoda

"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is."
―Yoda, to Luke Skywalker

Counted the Stars

Counted the stars on the 4th of July
Wishing we were rockets bursting in the sky
Talking about redemption and leaving things behind
I have these pictures and I keep these photographs
To remind me of a time
These pictures and these photographs
Let me know I'm doin' fine
We used to be so happy once upon a time
Once upon a time
But the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line
And the sun sank west of the Mendocino County Line

Rant: Babbling Babs and Dumb Ass Dianne

Called the offices of My Two Whores in the Senate this morning.
Subject: The God Damned Furlough.
It made me feel better.
The Two Whore's offices for my area are in Fresno........................................It's more than just Raisins................
I did use a bit of "colourful" language. I was a sailor..................................the flunkies have to deal with it. It is their job.

Nanci Griffith, Emmylou Harris, Iris DeMent : Are You Tired Of Me Darling

Nancy, Emmylou and Iris................yeah. It is good. Three sweet voices.

Tunes. Jho Nek Bhone. Canadian, Eh!

I used to listen to this on CKKQ 100.3 from Victoria BC. It was the best reception rock station on North Whidbey Island and the Naval Air Station therein.
They used to play a lot of Canadian Independent Music. It was where I first heard Bare Naked Ladies as well.
Please enjoy!

Beer Blogging for a Furlough Night

Got a couple of these at Cost Plus World Market in Visalia. We had to go over there this past Saturday. Seems the Missus left her wallet on the counter. They were really nice folks and let us know she had done so. Good folks there.
But this is pretty tasty, I must say. I can't do all that fancy descriptive stuff but suffice to say that I do like it!
Salute!

Desert Thunderstorm from yesterday 20130723

Took this with the Droid. But made sure it got uploaded to the computer as Blogger for Droid keeps pics so very small.

It Blows!
To all of the congress critters and the sand crawler in the white house who caused this....................go and blow it out your collective asses....................................................
Of special note are those two low life whores who pass themselves off as my senators.
Perhaps the executive and legislative branches should take a 20 percent pay cut, like I have had shoved down my throat. Just a suggestion.
Rant over.

The exercise machine

I have had this $100 Walmart special for a few years. Finally putting it to some use. 4&1/2 miles today.
My Doc says some form of regular exercise is in order. Low impact is preferred.

Sunday Beer Blogging

Got this stealth Coors brand at the Stater Brothers Market in Mojave yesterday. Did a soda pop run and a beer run. It is a small super market but the beer, wine and hard liquor selection is pretty good. The Albertson's in Tehachapi has a really good selection as well.
Pretty tasty, I must say.

Beer Blogging Part Deux for Today

This is another one from the stop at Cost Plus World Market in Visalia yesterday. Chocolate hint............a bit heavy but flavourful. I like it as a slow drinking ale.
Of course it is in that glass!

Beer Blogging for Today

Picked this up at Cost Plus World Market in Visalia yesterday on the way home from Lemoore.
The show was good, Happy Together Tour 2013.
This is way better. California Brew from Orange County.

Ain't it the Truth?

Found this one on one of my airplane pages at Facebook. Pretty funny...................and somewhat disconcerting as well. Still funny. Enjoy.
Cheers to All!

Home in California

We got in on Wednesday Evening. Unloaded the next day which was Independence Day. Irony perhaps? No longer tied to the house in Wichita.
We filled a 10 by 10 storage unit in Wichita with furniture and boxes of stuff. I had a 6 by 12 U Haul trailer behind the Titan and it was full!
I got about 13 mpg overall on the return. I like my truck as it works and can pull about 9,200 pounds. But it can hurt at the pump.
We got everything into the garage and a storage unit we have here in Cal City. The trailer was returned on Friday AM with no issues at all. Done.
California is now home, for better or worse.
To all who sent the wishes and such, thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Done in Wichita

Got all the stuff we came after from the house. We filled a 10 by 10 storage space in Wichita. There is a 6 by 12 U haul behind the Titan. We will be heading west in a bit.
Going to be a long drive.

I will not go down and tell my children I didn't have the courage, the conviction, the commitment or the character to fight for this country...Don't go home and let your children down~~ LTC Allen West
